Philip Atwill, iXS sponsored rider, winner of the Juvenile category at the Welsh Championships summarises the event in his eyes:
After a full day of practice I was feeling pretty quick as I managed to get quite a few runs in but I still didn’t feel fully comfortable on the track as it was also quite short and had a couple of little crashes up the top.
Coming into race day I was feeling pretty confident as I knew all my lines and was ready to race. I managed to get two practice runs in the morning. I put in a good first run which put me in the lead and amazingly put me ranked second in the category above.
My second run didn’t go quite as well as the wind picked up a lot and slowed me down in the open sections ending that run 2 seconds slower than the first one but lucky for me the first one was

enough to clinch the top spot and secure the title.
