The New DBX 3.0 All-Mountain Helmet from Leatt
First All Mountain Helmet from Leatt
3.0 AM helmet with 360° Turbine Technology to help reduce the risk of rotational forces & concussion.
CAPE TOWN, South Africa (April 21st, 2017) – Leatt takes it a step further and launches its first halfshell helmet, not intended for gravity riders like their helmet offerings before, but for trail and allmountain pilots.
The new DBX 3.0 AM helmet incorporates the same unique 360° Turbine Technology their DH fullface helmet is known for.
Overall ten turbines are placed inside the helmet between the EPS and the rider’s head. Made of 3D molded Armourgel®, they stiffen upon impact to provide protection. They do this by absorbing both low speed and rotational impact forces during a fall.
This technology reduces up to 30% of head impact at concussion level, and up to 40% of rotational acceleration to the head and brain, according to tests run by biomedical engineers in Leatt’s lab.
Each helmet is equipped with 18 vents, a magnetic Fidlock® buckle offering precise custom fitting with the turn of a dial, and an adjustable breakaway visor.
Five different colorways will be available in May for recommended retailer price of £139.99.
